pic of mine mounted on an aluminm fitting, you could get a shrader valve, and install it into the square steel tube.

pic has FP gage hooked up, only takes couple minutes to test.

Summit racing has them.

Hi Ron

Cheers!

Yes, that's just the sort of setup that I need, except that I don't have the skills to make my own fuel rail

So was hoping for an out of the box solution

Like fitting a new fuel rail from the later model, that already has a Schrader Valve built in

Anyway Thanks for the Pic, that looks a great Setup

Question, OB: why?

To possibly monitor a problem which isn't there? Like people installing 20.000.000 temperature sensors because they don't trust the gauge...

If your pump runs, it'll make 3.5 Bar. If the FPRs work, they'll keep about 2.5 Bar in the rail.

Hi Daim

Apart from wanting another Toy to play with (gadget freak here) it would be very useful for diagnosing problems

And I could certainly have done with one, when trying to get 'Cherry' started which I eventually managed to do with help from Greg and Grant

Finding out what was wrong with her and fixing all those problems took me at least a couple of Weeks before I eventually got her running

So don't begrudge a guy his gadgets if it makes life a bit easier (and a lot more Fun!)

I didn't mean to sound grumpy, mate! Everyone has their wishes and desires. I love gadgets too... A man who doesn't like gadgets is called a woman...

There is no schrader valve on my 6.0L fuel rail, and I would be a bit wary of them. If you want a FP gauge I would do it the way Ron did and plumb it permanently, less to fail. Or use a JIC and a good quality ball valve and remote mount the JIC to connect to a gauge.

My XJ8 has a Schade valve in the fuel rail. All plastic of course. Came like that from the factory.
