Gearbox mount question 5.3
hi all, I just want to be sure while replacing my gearbox mount on my 5.3. Question is regarding the washer that goes to the spacer tube. Obviously the spacer tube sits inside the cotton reel. Does the washer also go inside the cotton reel or should it sit on the face of it if that makes sense. I’ve looked at the j heritage drawing but not 100 per cent. Many thanks.

The special washer goes up on the gearbox location spindle BEFORE the spacer tube, which goes up after it and holds it in place. The washer goes up against the step cut in the spindle. FYI the JDHT diagram shows it in the wrong sequence!
