And to think the E type was much celebrated at this milestone.

Ya, I wonder what the Jaguar PR guys have in mind for evoking memories of the XJ-S (as they have done with the E-Type), if anything at all. Maybe they'll wait for the introduction of the next XK and tie in to the Gran Touring nature of the car. Or maybe this is just dreaming on my part.

Actually isn't someone celebrating 40 yrs of the XJC at the moment?

And, remember, when it came out it was faster, quieter, far better equipped, handled better and was under half the price of all the opposition. That is, faster than the equivalent Ferrari, Maserati, Benz or Aston. Speaking for myself, I fell in love with it the first time I saw it.

One day Jaguar will revive the buttresses to a modern car to evoke the XJS styling.

That and perhaps the iconic tail lights. They may figure out how to use those as inspiration.

A few pics from the Moscow celebration

It is a pity that I will not in the UK. Consul refused me a visa. I'm very sad.

Oh Dear Lord I want those wheels. Could you possibly find out the manufacture, size and tire size on that yellow car XJSV12?

Edit: - That's your car? Sorry! I really like that color - any wheel info you can grab would be great. I dig the BBS LM's on the silver car too, but prefer the negative offset of your wheels, very, very nice.

Thanks!!

Jeff

No kidding, Oh man, that is bloody brilliant. You have inspired me!!! Never thought about using bits from the "Jag in Drag".

I'm on it!

Thanks!
