Default Heated seats

Does anyone know if the seats came fitted with heater pads and only connected if specified? I have connectors coming from seats that look like they could be from heater pads. Also is the loom already present to connect to door seat switches? Is it a case of buy a heater control unit, plug in and connect to seat switch?
What about memory seats? Is it possible to swop module for a memory one plus door seat switch? Is the loom already there to connect to?
My car is a semi facelift 4l.
Thanks, Tony

PS retro fit of cruise control nearly completed. Just got to connect up new vacuum pipes then test at weekend.

Tony,

I assume, by "semi-facelift" that you mean a facelift 4 litre between 91 and early 93 ie a pre-big bumper car?

If so, then I can partially answer your question. There will not be heater pads installed in the seats (unless something strange happened on production). In addition, the memory seats use a different seat frame and motor / wiring. The wiring loom MAY be common across memory & non-memory; I'm not sure about that. So, it may be possible retrofit some of the features without wiring loom intervention?

Hope that helps somewhat

Cheers

Paul

PS Only down the road in West Malling!
