help marelli fix?

Other than keeping the system in good condition the only 'fix' I'm aware of is the little glob of insulating silicone (like RTV gasket stuff) under the ignition rotor.
Is that what you're thinking of?

Oh, wait....some guys also trim the rotor a bit to shorten it. I can't remember the details and have never done it, personally

Thanks to the link to Kirby's book and the resulting memory refresher I'll correct the above....
It's the shaft that's trimmed shorter, not the rotor!
