In Honor of Fall Colors
OK, I don't normally post a bunch of picks of my big kitties and this was just taken with an iPhone but I was surprised when we got home and I seen on the large computer screen how well this one turned out. If I had known it would come out this good I would have put on the top cover too. It was actually very cool outside the day we took it and we only lowered the top for a little while to see the scenery inside the park so I didn't bother with the top cover.
This was Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. Just north of Denver in Kirara, my 1996 Celebration Edition.

Maybe we can get other owners to share a few fall colors photos of their rides out seeing the colors.

That area of Colorado is very high altitude with a lot of evergreens so in some areas like where we took this they don't have a "traditional" fall colors, ie. the leaves on the trees stay green year round. But what they do have is spectacular hues of vibrant colors on the prairie grasses that change every few days for about a week. The way we took this they happened to be gold, a week before they was a more yellow than gold with some light reds mixed in it, and a week later the people said they would turn to an orange and then slowly get darker over time until they finally turned to a light brown for the winter. Snow remains on those mountain peaks year around. We seen Big Horn Rams, Elk, what I think was some Mule Deer, two Bears, a family of what had to be the largest and fattest beavers I have ever seen, a pair of very plump ground hogs, and caught a sighting from a distance of a mountain lion (or some kind of big cat) at the edge of a field just sitting there on a rise looking over the field, we almost missed him except that he turned his head which caught out attention, but had he not done that while we was looking right at him he was laying so still his body looked like a part of the brown rocks he was laying on.

Seems like I read in one of my books that something like 70 percent of the XJS' produced were imported into the USA. No wonder you are starting to see them purchased here to be shipped overseas to other countries.
