Most of those bits are still available from jaguar. See part numbers and prices on jaguar website. Always worth a look at Jaguars site first:

Good luck

Hello Scott

If you don't want to go original - I just completed mine by using a bike brake cable. There was also a post long time ago about using a bike spoke

I also used a bike brake cable to go from one side to the other - just cut to length and solder the cable ends from freying

I still need to put some sealer around the outer cable to grommet - so I don't loose it over time

While I have not hit the open road with her yet - it seems to shut well

Cheers
Steve

Paul,

Thanks much for the link. Its what I was looking for.

Due to the total ****-ups of shops here in Baltimore, its been 3 years and several computers since I had my bookmarks for this site and my other favorites.

cheers

Steve,

That is my fall back plan. I went to the local chandlery, got some 1/16 stainless rope, and crimped a ferrule on the end of it.

But for some reason, I feel like that's letting my boat life creep into my car life. I recognized that last year while rewiring my TVR. I found myself at West Marine picking up tinned wire and heat shrink terminal connectors with Blue Seas junction blocks and fuses. Why not? They are both fibreglass creations!
