Indicator stalk swop has anybody done one?
Hi guys
I've got an 89 V12 in pristine condition but the one thing that really bugs me is the indicator stalk.
This is the wimpy looking / feeling one, that looks like its been made from coat hanger wire.
In contrast to the heavy duty chunky looking one on my 1990 V12
Has anyone done a stalk swop?
Is it a piece of cake to do or any problems that I might encounter?

To make it look OK you would have to swap out the entire stalk pack and column top cover etc etc. No doubt could be done as long as you are up to connecting up the loom to the column and switch plugs. Best Idea would be to buy an entire column with evrything on it (Grublogger, Eurojags, Ebay etc etc).
But, remember that the 'chunky' switchgear is actually Ford Mondeo stuff - very reliable and excellently made, I am a Mondeo fan, owner, and no snob. IMO if an XJS is ever to be worth anything I am absolutely sure the pre-Ford models with the original Jaguar switches will be the ones everyone will want.
