Default Injector connectors replacement

So far have removed a grand total of only one original connector on my 1987 successfully with see-saw and pull and one more partly successful with small screwdriver attempting to move the spring wire but really all it did was crack part of its retainer (it probably would still clip on).
I'm spending a lot of time getting nowhere fast.

Since I have at least one I should replace - Anyone with experience using these connectors?

Or a better source if these are junk?
Thanks

The connectors at the link have the same flaw as the originals… you can’t release them. This style is much better: PTNHZ RACING 10PCS EV1 Fuel Injector Connectors for Many Cars EV1 Injector Plug https://a.co/d/ahTkNOP

Cheaper too.

Get the crimper style that curls the terminal in on itself instead of just smashing it flat. Like this one…. Wire Crimping Tool with Ratchet, Amliber Ratchet Wire Crimper Tool for Open Barrel Terminal Connectors, Electrical Crimping Tool for Molex Style Deutsch DELPHI AMP Dupont TYCO Terminals, 24-14 AWG https://a.co/d/dEhMBXs

Sadly, the style of injector you illustrate will not fit onto the 5.3 litre HE pre-facelift injectors, as the collars that hold the injectors in place have not enough room to fit them. I do agree that removing the OEM ones is an absolute pain (I use a small 90° pick to get the spring off one side and then they can be worked free)!
This type willl fit with a tiny bit of filing:
These are easy to removeas well, just squeeze the ears together.

Oh you’re right, the metal retainers get in the way. Work great on my 92s! Where can we buy the kind you have pictured? They do look much more compact.
