Default Legris fuel line connection on xjs 1992

Hi forum, im trying to get my fuel lines out to change hoses and im really stuck on getting those "legris" connectors out, it suppose to be easy push and pull according to ROM and internet, but its not happening, im so tired with that, that i want to get that Special tool, also in very near future i will need to get tank out and i assume there 2 same connectors under it, so i guess i better save my nerves with that tool, can you please tell me which one should work? There almost no information on that "legris" connectors , will that tool work?

I had an XJS with those connectors and recall them being a real pain to release. That tool you linked would probably work but you might have to undo whatever is holding the fuel lines to the inner fender, to have enough clearance between the fuel line and fender to fit it. If you have a northern tool nearby this may be a cheaper option to try.

Depends on the diameter of yours, I once removed fittings like this using copper tube that I cut in half and a pair of decent pliers but it was still a major hassle - if dirt or corrosion is in there they can be a real bear

mouserider,

I think those are the connectors that a number of people have struggled with. Have a read through some of teh posts here with a suggestion from OB on a home-made tool:

Cheers
