Looking for a glue that has give and is flexible?
I’m looking for a product that is a glue but has a little flex like a rubber. Does anyone recommend any products that fits this description?
Im not exactly sure what I should be searching for to be honest. JB weld is too “hard” and does not provide the “flex” that I’m looking for.
maybe like the type of glue that usually adheres the plastic film behind the window? But not as flexiable.
i want to use it to affix some trim covering pieces that use “fir tree” type clips.

3M weatherstrip adhesive
3M windshield glass adhesive (sets soft but you can barely leave a fingernail mark in it when dry. Used by Dayton to make tubeless wire wheels)
Flex Seal Flex Paste… yes the as seen on TV stuff.
I used a Flex Seal tape on my ripped convertible roof and it’s been fine for three years.

I’m trying to use the glue to glue the clip “holders” in the appropriate place. I’ll try my best to explain, the “clip holder” is affixed to the trim piece by a flexible rubber like glue. The fir tree clip then slides into the holder piece, and then the trim piece plus clip is pushed into a hole.
the need for a flexible glue is because sometimes the clip and the hole aren’t perfectly aligned and a hard glue like JB weld will just crack and break. Hope that makes sense
from the factory they use a flexible type glue, I just need help finding out what product that is
