If you have that PDF file could you email it to me ?
that brace looks adequate for controlling rear sub-frame movement.

jag suspension systems were never designed for hard acceleration or braking,(definately not for drag racing),rubber mounted sub moves around to much(great for smooth quiet old people).

i have seen at least 2 rear subs actually ripped out of the body mounts, when pushed hard. one was when backing down a driveway, and yanked the E-brake, wheels locked and frame disemboweled from the mounts,of course old and rusty car! still very sobering sight.

pic of my rear brace system, adjustable ends make some preload on the frame for hard acceleration ! notice single piece aluminum driveshaft saves 30lbs less than factory, plus lower moment of rotation inertia!

That looks more like a rear cage brace, to stop the cage from walking back and forth under acceleration.

It is not tied to the boot like the Jaguar convertible brace. To reduce body flex it would need to be tied to the body at 4 points minimum.

The part you want is listed under "front cross brace".

I installed the "HBC" front X cross brace (over $300 with S&H) soon after I got my 91 conv . It had front end shimmy at 55mph pretty bad even after front & rear alignment. That was/is a cure for this type of condition in conv's. In most case's. I understand their a stock idem on later model XJ-S's, don't know. As Ron said, the stock IRS is not meant for "hole shot" type starts, especially with a manual transmission or lower diff gear ratios . You will rip those rubber mounts lose. That goes for OEM or aftermarket mounts. "Be there done that".

Where did you buy it, and what was involving installing it? Do you have to make attachment points?

Harvey- Bailey Engineering in the UK. It connects to the cross members big bolts and to each side next to the jacking points below the front of the door

How does it connect next to the jacking points?
