Hi, I'm John from the Netherlands and I am new to this forum. I got a Jaguar XJS 3.6 manual from 1986 which I am repairing right now to get it back on the road. The car hasn't been on the roads for 20 years. All the time the car was stored inside, so the condition is not that bad. However, the brakes, front and rear, were completely stuck. I first want to make the car ready for annual inspection which is required to get it back on the road again.
There are some issues that I've already fixed or want to fix..
- Welding new pieces of sheet metal under the drivers seat - done
- Welding new pieces of sheet metal (both rear wheel arches). - done
- Front wheels: new brake lines, new brake pads, new brake calipers. new rotors - done
- Rear: new brake pads, new brake calipers, new rotors, new parking brake pads - not done, but I've already removed the rear cage.
