Default Oil idiot light question

On my 1990 XJS V12 I have a question. If my oil level is even the slightest bit low I get the idiot light flickering when I am on the brakes pretty hard and making a right hand turn. My gauge still reads as having oil pressure. This was not an issue on my 88. Any reason to be concerned?

If I am correct the only Jaguar that has a level indicator in it is from I think 2012 to now. All other indicators are oil pressure.

The idiot light is if pressure is low in accordance with RPM. If its coming on like you said then I'd check the connection and possibly replace the unit (its like 3 bucks)

Like I said I think it is pressure only. I would like for a pro or tech to confirm.

Plenty of cars will do this, even with full sumps. I can remember reading notes on this happening in many of the owner's handbooks of cars I've owned.

This happens on all V12 XJSs if they enter a RH corner braking hard enough. It is because the oil in the sump momentarily sloshes away from the pickup. A baffled sump is the only cure, other than a dry sump setup. Rob Beere Racing sells one.
