Default Oil pressure gauge reset

I am not quite sure how my gauge got in this position, probably while I was messing with the oil pressure sender wire.

Anybody have any bright ideas on how to get it back to zero? I tried applying a 9-volt battery negatively between the gauge input and battery positive thinking that would drive it the opposite direction but it didn't seem to work.

I'm not helping until you replace that silver bezel screw with a black one.

Seriously, it may be broken. Its either broken, popped off it's clockspring, or , most likely, it's grounded to something. Somewhere there is a short to ground.

Can you take an ohms reading at the gauge?
