One fewer XJS on the road.
Got our XJS back from being repaired, serviced and painted last night and this morning I decided to come out of a roundabout too fast in the wet and spun it into a crash barrier.
Just waiting to hear back from the insurer as to whether they'll write it off or not. I've never felt so gutted! I've really enjoyed reading this forum and have learned loads - hopefully they can repair it and I'll continue to do so!
Fingers crossed...

I'm sorry to learn of your misfortune.
You may be looking at a small amount of structural damage on the front corner, but, it would be minor, if, in fact, it even extends beyond the headlamp mounts. Everything else looks to be little more than body panel, and bumper blade replacement.
Please don't allow the insurance company write this car off, even if that means refusing the their check, and repairing it out of pocket. Straight, used fender panels can be purchased for a couple hundred bucks here in the states, and I imagine they would be even less expensive there.

Bummer!
Check the condition of the bulkhead where the bonnet catches are mounted; looking at the picture at least one of the hooks/catches has failed but as it doesn't appear to be a head on shunt you may get away without damage to the bulkhead/firewall.
When I hit a deer up the **** a few years ago the Jag garage owner told me that if a shunt results in the catches being pushed into the bulkhead then the insurers will write it off as it is not economical to repair that area.
Hopefully you have Agreed Value insurance!
The rest of it looks fairly superficial; a couple of lights, a lump hammer and a bit of T- Cut and she'll be fine.
You must have been caning it for the back end to step out like that; what sort of tyres have you got on?

Life hands you lemons...ah you know the rest...Sorry... glad you're Ok enough to post about it. It appears to need about 3000 USD in retail repairs. That's kinda' close to 50% of the value so it's a toss up at this point. Its likely the insurance co will allow you to buy it back from them. You can sell it on to someone who does body work like me or to someone who needs the parts. If the suspension and frame are straight its a long weekend in the garage to restore a nice car. For example a few years ago I had a 300ZX that was crushed by a fallen tree. It was bad...I repurchased the car from the insurance co for 400$ and sold it on for 3500$ to someone who needed the parts.

Wow...got it on the right front and back...crappy luck.
Stiff upper lip though, it's fixable, and if the bean counters don't agree there is plenty of parts that you can take off it at sell to help finance the next one (which shouldn't cost that much).
If you don't mind a question though (feel free to tell me to take a leap if your not in the mood), I see that on your rear bumper there are two stoplight or taillights embedded in the bumper. Are these required in your location? I guess I've not looked hard enough at any previous pictures to have noticed them.
Sorry again...a drag for sure.
