Anyone out there get their parts from Moss Motors? I must get the fuel hoses and injector rebuild kit ordered soon and looking for the best deal. I don't want to skimp on quality but desire a good value for my $$.

What do you mean by injector rebuild kit? I'm sure there are diy ways of servicing injectors, but my personal opinion is its best to send them off to someone with the right equipment. I sent mine to Injector Rehab, but Jaguar Fuel Injector Service is also highly though of. What year and engine is you car? If its a 5.3L V12 then the fuel hoses from the rail to the injectors is just normal 5/16"/8mm fuel hose. I bought a roll off Amazon for not too much. The metal fittings on the fuel hoses are reusable, just cut the hose out and put new hose in.

In general I buy parts from SNG Barratt, but only because I live close enough that they show up next day. If they don't have it then I'll go wherever I need to to get the parts.

SNG is also a forum sponsor, they give 10% off to forum members.

Never had a problem with Moss although I buy mostly Triumph stuff from them and not too much Jaguar.

I have good luck with SNG, Coventry West, Paul's Jaguar, Welsh...all the usual names. No matter where you buy from the quality can vary. Most sell a couple different quality levels so watch out.

"OEM" is almost meaningless these days so don't be fooled. Some sellers use the term very loosely and, besides, even the parts you get in Jaguar packaging nowadays are frequently not true OEM as the manufacturers supplying Jaguar 20-30-40 years ago are no longer in business or have stopped making the replacement parts we need. Jaguar has turned to alternate sources for such parts.

On some things it doesn't matter too much but on others the quality is very important...with suspension bushings being one example that pops into my brain right away. Some of the replacements parts are just junk.

If in doubt on a specific purchase just ask here on the forum.

Cheers
DD

Guess I mean injector seal kit. The kit I'm looking at contains the injector seals and filters. #131 from Mr. Injector. Youtube "Living with a Classic" has a video covering this procedure.

You don’t want Jaguar OEM rubber hoses. The Factory recalled the original rubber hoses twice before Porsche shared with John Egan ( CEO ofJaguar) their source.
I’ve been buying fromMoss Motors since the late 1960’s and I still highly recommend them.
