Passenger window issue
I have a 1990 XJS V12 Coupe. Problems with passenger window. Window will go down, no problem. However, as it is going up, it will first get stuck about one eighth to one quarter of the way up. I need to then lift the window, it comes up 1 to 2 inches. Then it sticks at about halfway. I lift it again, press the switch and up it goes, no problem. I had the door panel off, but did not dig into it any further. Motor seems to work fine and switch is working fine. Appears to be something loose in regulator? Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the fix might be?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply, tried that, but no luck. Guessing I have an issue with the regulator. The non-working passenger window has a lot more play than the drivers window. The drivers window works great.

There are 2 runners inside the door which slip into the window channel and are bolted to the bottom of the door, if these are loose or not adjusted correctly the window will **** sideways and jam.
You will need to remove the door trim and IIRC the bolt for one is under the door, you'll see them when you remove the door card.
