Default Picture problem in Shooting Brake thread-help?

I recently rearranged some Shooting Brake photos on my Photobucket album and just realized that I lost the photos embedded in the thread.

I'm guessing that my re-labeling the pics in a new album has changed the destination of the link.

Does anyone have an easy fix? That thread became kinda lame without pics!

Andy
Either redo the links with the new photobucket addresses, or upload the photos to the site directly from your computer.
To do this, go the "manage attachments" button below the edit box (you have to NOT be in "quick reply" mode, I am pretty sure) and it is reasonably obvious what to do. Basically a new box opens and you click on the "browse" buttons in it, and nvigate to the photo on your computer and upload it. One photo per browse button. If you do this the thread will not be dependent on photobucket at all.

If that works, why use Photobucket?

Does it work as good as Photobucket or do you only get 'Thumbnails?'

It works just as well, normally sized results.

Thanks Greg

That sounds amazing, I always thought you had to use something like Photobucket.

Did you use the insert image function originally Andy?

My understanding when this was introduced was that it would save the image to the forum server to avoid the broken link problem.

I prefer Flickr. The URL stays the same, no matter how you arrange the pictures (albums and co).

Thanks! Except many of the posts no longer have the edit button-is that a feature I don't have?

Andy, the Gods of the Forum remove the edit button after a while. Perhaps if you present burnt offerings, incense, myrrh etc etc at their Celestial Portal they might agree to let you have the button back to relink the photos. If not, nothing for it but to repost the pics at the end of the thread.

Yeah, I did the "Go Advanced" box and found the image insert. got it. it worked.
But, for an unknown reason not on this WIN 10 powered DELL machine. Yes, on a very
similar DELL, but still on XP!!! I think I used google Chrome to get on. It took me straight to the external card reader and the card from my more than ancient Olympus!!!
I think, I could go to "My pictures" as well.

Messing around here "entertained" me during our cold, windy and rainy spell.

Outside is now nice, and things to work on play with there beckon.

I don't think you can get the button back but you can post the pictures again and indicate which post they need to go in and we can sort it out.
