Please may we have Greg's Thread back. 'Cars that I have owned'
With the benefit of hindsight, perhaps it could have had a different Title but it most certainly wasn't about a random Collection of Cars.
But much more about our journey of being able to own and maintain one of the Finest Sports Cars ever made.
As back in the day not many of us were lucky enough to be able to spend 50 Grand on a Sports Car that was the price of a house.
We all had to Start somewhere and then work up from there.
Perhaps we didn't even know we wanted one at all, until one day we woke up to the moment that we did.
This was one of the few threads to achieve a 5 Star Rating on day one and had around 2000 Hits in just a few days, so doesn't really deserve to be 'Off Topic'
As it seems very relevant to what we are about.

And I for one of many enjoy reading all of them, as the one thing I have learned is that you 'Can't learn less'
And even with 'Non Mechanics' you can always find a 'Gem' in there somewhere.

Yes! I Totally agree, especially with the Coveted reputation that Greg has and if you've got a problem, then its for sure that he will know the answer.
My Car would be still in the Garage, if it wasn't for him.
And though I know a lot more than I ever did before, I know enough to know that I do not know everything.
So without Greg and the Wizard. aka 'The Cavalry that comes riding over the hill'
A lot of us would not know what to do.

It is totally beyond me how you have acquired such knowledge and are willing to selflessly share it with us all.

Well, that is a revelation! I ghost my way through the machines. I took to them, way back. The first, a "Color Computer" with basic programing seen on my TV as a screen. No, I don't want to write. I want to work on it. Next up, a derelict Eagle. At first, only one floppy drive!! boot on a disk then, go to another to 'work". Added another floppy. boot on one, work on another. Plagued with issues.
Got a proper one hard drive and a floppy. Yahoo, off to the races, big time. Used in my business, Word Processing and spread sheets.
Then, came dial up, on the nets.....
