Default a-post/windshield leak?

hey guys,
My cars been leaking since i got it, its usually not a problems because it is fairly small and i keep a cover on it, but sometimes it rains and I've just left it off.
It doesn't get THAT wet, but i hate the smell and the fact it could damage something.

Now I know everyone is gonna say get a windshield gasket, yeah it could be that but mine looks pretty good and im wondering if there is a place it could get in from the top of the "gutter" system of chrome trim all around the roof and windshield?? Maybe coming down the apost and leaking in somewhere?

I get water from under the dash and out of the left A/c vent it blows...... Also was wondering how do all those chrome trim pieces come off?? The one on the drivers side is a bit loose on the bottom where it meets up with the cowl/hood piece. Was wondering how to remove them to check for this leak AND how to fix that loose trim piece..

thanks!
