Default Qtr. window motor

Is anyone aware of where a set of brushes can be purchased for a 1994 XJS convertible rear quarter window motor? My passenger side window quit working, used the “tap with a hammer” idea, got it working. Decided to remove and clean the motor. Found it was dirty but the brushes were in pretty bad shape. Got it working but don’t know how long that will last. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have yet to take mine to my local electric motor repair shop, but I would like to think that since it's a Bosch and looks very similar to several other window motors out there, that there should be parts for them. I'm hoping to have mine done this year

I posted a thread around Feb 20 with a few pic's concerning the quarter windows on convertibles. Might be worth a look

I sent Bosch an email to see if anything is available.

Found the thread. My plans are to ultimately control the qtr. windows independent of the top. Was real interested in how “Mac” wired his windows. Little different than how I intended on doing it.

Wiring is easy, straight forward, as I said the cabin is small, I had to remove the driver seat (US side). Short version, connect each motor +pos wire to each front window +power wire, @ the switch under the ski slop. Left motor wire to left ft window switch, same thing on the right motor to right ft window switch. Mount new rear window switches wherever you want.
I bought my switches & instruction of Paul Novak , from the forum . Anyway I still have it if your interested

The way you wired the windows is the same way I was thinking; however, “Mac” seemed to have a different way that I was curious about.

I figured Paul Novak's way of wiring is seven years old & no problems, plain & simple, that's why I went with his instructions.
