Default Radiator Spur Hose what do I use? (XJS V12)

I've just had a look at this Parts Diagram and on my Radiator where the Bottom Hose goes on, there is a 'Spur' coming off it for a smaller hose.

But its not shown on this diagram.

Does this small 'Spur Hose' have a Jaguar Part number? or am I supposed to make one up using a piece of Standard Heater Hose?

The Photo is of my Old Rad (not the new one)

That hose is the heater return to the rad. I still think it is best to buy a full hose kit (around 70 UKP) and then you have everything you need and some spares for those you do not need to replace. Works out cheaper usually than buying piecemeal.

Hi Greg

I've been looking into that option of circa £70 for a Radiator Hose Kit but when I inquired, I was told that they were not OEM.

The OEM ones are quite a bit dearer, as the main hose on the bottom and the heater hose come to about £45 on their own!

If any hose decided to go, I wouldn't ever want it to be either one of those, as it is a real PIA to fit them, never mind the problem of getting the old ones off.

An almost impossible job by the side of the road.

If a Top hose started leaking, then I could probably fix it by the side of the road, with one of the secondhand ones off my 'Scrapper' Temporarily until I got a new one.

So that was the reason for thinking of going for OEM on just those Two, unless you think I'm probably wasting my money.
