Replacement cooling fan 3.6
Hi all and seasons greetings.
I wasn't aware of the cracking issues on the original yellow / white, plastic, cooling fans so I'm grateful for the thread started by XJS-XKR. I can see very faint evidence of cracking on my yellow fan so I guess it is time to replace.
My parts catalogue quotes part number EAC3263 for the fan (1990, 3.6, AJ6 engine). An internet search doesn't come up with anything for this although SNG offer EAC9367* as a substitute for circa £100. The latter is a plastic fan but with a central, drilled, metal plate containing the four, fixing holes. I think may have been used on the XJ40. Has anyone any experience of using this on an XJS or know where a new fan as per the original EAC3263 can be found?
Cheers,
LeeP

Hi Lee,
Not sure where you got that part number from? If you look on Jaguar's parts website (always start there) it indicates that it's part number EAC9367, which was also used on early 4 litre cars.
Hope that helps,
Paul

Thanks for the quick response. The EAC3263 number came from my hard-copy, "Genuine Parts Cataloge, XJS - 1975-1991" but perhaps it was superceded. At least this seems to confirm that SNG's, EAC9367 is OK to use but it would be nice to know if anyone has fitted.
Cheers,
LeeP
