Replacing engine oil cooler hoses.
The oil cooler bypass on a 4 litre is done using parts 3,4,5,6 & 7 on the Jaguar diagram here:

They go for about £40 / $65 second-hand. Have a look on ebay.

I can find out by blocking the oil cooler flex lines or just pinching them off and then starting the engine to see if I have oil pressure at the gauge. Thank s all for your replies.

ptjs1, since I can't see the openings in #5, I need to know if the openings are blocked off. If so I can remove it and block them off in my workshop. By doing this I can eliminate the seep from the flex hoses and the concern that the old flex hoses will spring a leak. Then to the other chore of removing the Tupperware under skirt to access the cooler for removal.
