Default SmartCar vs XJS

Snapped a couple pics the other day. Couldn't help myself when I parked next to a smartcar. Talk about extreme opposites! My hood is longer than their entire car!

I just thought the reflection was cool, so I took a pic.

Sure! You won't have any room for a driver, or anything else for that matter...and if you step on the gas it would do a backflip.

I'm still around!
I check the board fairly often, but rarely post anything.

I really don't understand the attraction to a Smartcar? they handle terrible, cramped and uncomfortable, and they are really not that good on gas?

I think its just a matter of perception. When someone sees a little car like that they just assume that it handles like a go-cart and gets great gas mileage.
"Look at me! I'm getting great mileage and saving the planet!"

The Smart had potential. It's too bad the execution was done so poorly.

We rented one in Miami two winters ago. It was great for getting around in the city and parking. Downright scary on the highway. And, at 6'3" I found it to have plenty of head and leg room.

Would I ever buy one? Never.

Gimme 6 liters anytime, I think the Polar Bears will be just fine.

HA HA! I Agree with you.

I've never seen a dying Polar Bear gasping its last breath while scratching out in the snow, "Damn you Jaguar..................(cough)......."

If you drive one, you'll know. The new ones are finally available with a proper manual... Now THEY are fun like hell!
