Default starting proceedure change

cars always cold starts on the button straight uo to 800 going up to 1500 in about 10 seconds, then I found the supply vacuum pipe on the dizzy had come off and the fuel rail temp sender had become disconnected from the link with the air temp sender so neither of those was working,
I fixed those and now it still starts straight away but I have to give it a bit of gas pedal for the first few seconds. is it something that those faults would have affected once fixed. do you thin?

Rex
The only thing that might influence it, as far as I can think it out, would be the vac line. If you have the the OEM gizmos still connected, then the cold start vac fast idle system might have been letting more air into the manifold than it should. Just a thought.

Agreed.

If it needs some encouragement when cold to stop stalling, sounds like a stuck AAV. Very, very common.

Got a PDF of how to rebuild that thing of you need it.
