Rack Doctor steering rack is installed and driven for 100 miles. Price was right, gaurantee is nice (test is when you try to use it), rack was shipped from a third party. Rack leaked from hose inputs and allowed the pinion shaft to protrude through box. UPS guy was a little worried. No damage to pinion or splines so I accepted.

My rack had a small bolt for lubing the pinion gear. New one had a bolt that was sheared. From research it used to be a zerk fitting but Jag switched to the bolt. Fitting hole is used to center rack per the manual. Email to the doc got a reply to just use full deflection measurements to determine center. I'll buy that but its not nice having a sheared bolt in a car. I replaced all hoses and flushed pump. I also redid some of the hoses to make installation easier. I have a two post lift, can't imagine doing this on my back.
