Steering rack swapover
Sept last year. Was rammed by a pirate on Lake Vic in Uganda. That was a repair and paint job! Floating and fairing the hull on that before painting took weeks.

So, Im out of the shop today. Last night I found that the tabs on the subframes where the mounting bolts run through were all really reamed out and elongated.
So we got out the MiG and welded up some thick reinforcing washers. We also replaced both lower shock mounts. They have two mounting bolts, and an ear that slips over the lower ball joint stud. That ear on both my mounts was broken off.
For the first time ever, there are no clunks in the front end when going over potholes and manhole covers!
