Default Tachometer removal

1991 XJ-S- After removing the instrument cluster from the dash, is there any problem removing and replacing the tach from the cluster?

No, no "problem", per se. You'll have to partially disassemble the cluster....slightly delicate work but not difficult. Be careful of the flexible printed circuit....it'll be a bit fragile from age.

this is a god opportunity to clean all the circuit contacts, clean the cluster lens, replace bulbs if needed, and add a redundant ground.

Cheers
DD

Doug- Thanks for your help in removing the tach. I've had the cluster out replacing the bulbs, but I was a bit nervous about replacing the tach. Have a great day! Dan
