Default Thermostat question

Ok, just ordered a pair of t-stats for my 91 5.3. They sent me the Motorads, but without the jiggle pin/bleed hole.

I can drill the bleed hole into it. Is no thing. But what's everybody else's thoughts? Am I better off sending them back and getting the Beck Arnley's with the pin and hole already there?

Thanks Gang. You've helped in so many ways just in the last three months since I joined.

I bought 2 at Oriley auto parts with jiggle pins, 160* and runs a lot cooler, they have them in stock. Took my old ones in and made sure they matched, Autozone probably has them.

Yeah, the steam hole can be drilled. No biggie.

What's important is the length of the thermostat. Some are too short and the rear disc won't effectively block-off the by-pass passageway.

I'll try to find some archived info for you

Cheers
