Default Trunk lid emblems

These are expensive: the "Jaguar" and the "XJS" emblems. I've seen a seller on eBay selling them for $66.50 each, or $133.00 for the set.

However, good news for those with faded or damaged emblems (like me).
I just came across these two UK sellers on eBay who are selling THE SET for a fraction of the price. One has the set for 13.98 GBP ($21.71 incl. S&H) and the other one is selling the set for 11.99 GBP ($18.62 including S&H). -- One of them has delivery for September, dunno why.

On the picture they look exactly alike. I'm ordering a set for my kitty; can't go wrong.

I'm not providing the links because I don't know if that is allowed here. However, all you need to do is to search ebay for "Jaguar XJS emblems".

Cheers

Just a thought, but, what would be the cost of having the originals refinished?.

Have you looked at that avenue?.

Never heard of anybody doing refurbishing to these emblems. I would tend to believe that the fact that they're made of plastic or teflon may rule out the usual true-chrome items' refurbishing in the manner that wheels or bumpers are done, which includes chemicals and electrolysis processes.

Besides, I have no idea what the chrome-looking surface is made off, plus in this particular case, how can you beat $20.00?

Cheers!

Just received my order this past weekend! These look identical to the ones I ordered for my previous XJS, with the red adhesive backing and all.

I'm very happy I came across your post!

Glad to help!

On the down side, I had ordered two sets from two different sellers and one of the sets had blemishes on the shiny "chrome" finish, plus a little chip that showed through the dark background material. He has just refunded me, as cost of shipping back to the UK from CA is absolutely prohibitive.

I'm still taking advantage of the great price (vs. mid $100's) while still available. Won't hurt having the back up because, somehow, these signs do wear out. I was going to replace only the "XJS" badge because it was damaged, but when I placed the new "Jaguar" badge next to the old one, man, what a tremendous difference. Now, the two new signs on the car look absolutely awesome.

Cheers,

Reinaldo

I bought the set from the Jag dealership for cheap (relative). Cannot remember how much, but less than $50, I think way less...
