Twin spot light conversion
Hi,
I have a 1992 xjs 4.0 cab. I want to remove the standard lights and convert it to the twin spotlights. Please can anyone advise if it's just a matter of a swop over or would I need to change any electrical components?
Thanks.

Straight swap plus one bit of loom to make (which plugs into the OEM loom) to drive the H1 main beams. If you buy an SNG kit is comes with that too. I upped the main beam fuse as the entire thing draws double the current on main beam.
Thanks. Would you know where I can get a reasonably priced set, even if used?
Zarathushtra,
You MAY be able to get the early twin US headlights to work on facelift cars. However the proper conversion kits sold by people such as SNG Barratt are different for pre-facelft & facelift cars. So if you are looking for a set, you need to stop saying that you have an XJS cabriolet. Because you don't; you have an XJS Convertible. A Cabriolet is a very different XJ-S model that was only made as a pre-facelift car prior to the introduction of the Convertible.
So make sure that you tell any supplier that you have a facelift Convertible as the lights are different.
Good luck
