I searched, but didn't find an answer. I need a left side tail light lens for my '88 US spec car. I've been told that the US part is JLM1554, while the Euro one is JLM1552. I've been able to find the Euro one a lot cheaper than the US one. My questions are 1. Will the Euro one physically fit my car? 2. What's the difference between them? I've tried searching images and couldn't find a difference.

I think that the US do not have a dedicated orange light for the turn indicator.

Australia followed the English a lot in our rules, who also (I believe) has the dedicated orange light.

Could be wrong - but could be the difference

From the photo - three different lights -
Brake is the biggest area,
Orange the lower section for the turn indicator, a
Night time lights are on the edge

Also has a reflector in the middle

That’s not a part worth buying new. There are 100’s of used around, check out everydayxj.com or eBay. I little Novus plastic polish goes a long way.

 

I see. Looks like either will fit. I hit up everydayxj and didn't get a tail light, but now I have a jack and a lug wrench on order. Thanks.

Edit: Found the lens on ebay for $52 out the door. Had a tough time finding the gasket. I ordered one from Welsh. At least I think I ordered the right thing. I do not like their search engine. I was going to order an oil filter while I was there, but I gave up trying to find one I could be sure was for my car.

 

i have nice conversion lite set up!
i have found pre face lift , lites are barely visable in TEXAS sun.
i cannot post pictures , because of some misunderstandings with some posters bitchin!
