a quick update

i have just discovered that the 4 pin connectors i have used to join my looms to the main harness will also fit the marelli style coil packs

i was reading other threads on the matter and as i had some spare marelli coils turn up the other day i thought i could try it out,

and its a perfect fit , you have to use the ' male ' section of the plug , the shorter one with the yellow rubber seal on the outside that fits inside the other plug

this is only for the marelli system , as this will not fit Lucas coil packs

so i can now replace my broken plugs on the coil supplies , as the ' holder loop ' has broken off ,

BB

this is TRUE

as at lunch I went out to the jaguar and unplugged the connector on the Coil and plugged in the new weather pack....

sadly as I unplugged the connector the plastic that sticks up in one part broke off and I had to go get a long needle nose and fish out the broken piece of plastic before I could plug the weather pack in or the connector that I needed to drive the car with...

ah... the parts are just OLD... new coils go onto the list...

the wiring to the coils are bear in a spot or two... time to replace with new coils new wire and new weather pack connectors....

Still I Have a boat load of them..

Almost. For those finding this in the archives, the Jaguar harness has to be modified for BIM124 to work:

Just for the record in case anyone else is doing this. The connectors that are referenced above do not fit. It could be that it’s just my vehicle (xj12 1983) but the metal clips foul the injector hold down clips.

i got mine in the UK from here. https://www.vehiclewiringproducts.co...mer-connectors

Which ones did not fit on your XJ12, the ones referenced to in Post 15, or the ones pictured in Post 26?

Tks
