Default V12 timing chain tensioner hole plug

The OEM rubber plug that seals the access hole to release the timing chain tensioner always leaks and fails quickly. A guy called Ron Kelnhofer in the USA used to make a top notch aluminium replacement, but no longer does.
I have just seen an advert for one on a well known auction site, and post it in case anyone is interested. I also attach a pic of the one from Ron that I fitted, and a "before" pic showing the OEM. This is a really worthwhile upgrade IMO.

I was thinking about this the other day. As I have everything off the front of my engine I was about to make one from aluminium that tightens an O ring.......

Absolutely nothing wrong with continually running fresh oil through the engine.

Greg,
Guess what I made yesterday....
I Just need to get the viton oring.
Drilled right through M6 - will use hydraulic loctite to seal the screw in place.
And some gasket cement - non hardening stuff.

First i will need to clean the hole.

The hardest part was removing the old bung, drilled a small hole and used a o-ring hook to try and pull it out.
Only way to remove was in bits.. lots of bits.
