It looks like I've got Water in the Fog Lights, which is very unusual as I never take the Car out in the Rain and so it must have happened when She broke down last year in the middle of nowhere, where I had to sleep in the Car for a couple of nights
So How do I get the Lenses off to drain the Water out before the reflectors go rusty?
Take them off the car, take them apart. clean everything, including the contacts and get new seals for the glass to case assembly. Fully dry, add new bulbs, and reassemble.
And when you put them back turn them 180 degrees - notice the "TOP" marking on the bottom of the lense in the photo. Maybe there is a drain hole if they are not upside down.
I did Sleep in the Jag for a couple of nights and although I'm almost exactly 6ft tall, She was Supremely Comfortable to Sleep in and in fact I'm even thinking of putting her on AIR B&B
Do you mean just turn the Lens upside down and then put the Lens back on, or am I missing something?
Exactly. As far as I recall there is a small gap in the gasket around the lens on the bottom side which will allow water out. Did you pass MOT with the lens upside down?
I forgot whether my fog lights were Cibi or Hella but the lenses were not removable.
That was one of the reasons I took them off and dumped them.
When the temperature changed the glass expanded the steel back did not.
The glass cracked on all four lights I had.
I had two fog and two driving lights.
