Quote: "but my rear seat belt attaches to the side panel near the parcel rack - not the parcel rack itself". Yes Bez, I have the threaded hole behind the side (sail)panel as you show in your last pic. I just did not cut through the upholstery material to expose the threaded anchor point behind the side (sail) panel. I do not have the belts.
As far as the engine is concerned, I think it is going to the graveyard. I do not have the money to do a complete rebuild on a V12. It is too costly for me.
But I do have a couple of GM 350 engines with 700R4 transmissions in my storage shed. EASY WAY OUT.
I also have a running XJ40 which I could scrap and use the powertrain from that together with all the electronics, but that will take me forever to do.
PS: It took me 4 tries to get the window leak resolved FINALLY.

Reason: add info
I am not giving up just yet. No scrappers near me with a V12.
Even if I were to get one, It will be an unknown quantity so I will still have to take it apart, unless I could hear it run prior to purchase.
Prior to doing that, I have to assemble the car as much as possible to clear a space in my 2 car garage to put the car in there.
In my neighborhood you cannot have an unregistered vehicle in your driveway nor do any major work.
Code enforcement has already me a 45 day notice to move the car from my driveway and I can't move it to my backyard without doing damage to my lawn.
I have 26 more days to clear my garage and put the car in there. have to move all this stuff out of the garage
I will be starting a new thread so as not to confuse the issues.
Thank you Greg and Bez for all your help so far.
