Default What if I forget to put the air pump back on?

I've got the air pump off so I can work on bringing cold air through a hole I'm about to cut into the engine compartment. If I were to forget to re-install the air pump (I'd probably just take the belt off for now, since I'm not likely to need that A/C to work anytime soon), should I plug to pipe at the center of the photo?

What other connections should be plugged?

Thanks,

John

I removed mine completely, and all the associated pipes/vac lines with it. If you leave it like that, worst case scenario would probably be a small amount of exhaust backing up and escaping past the valve. (That's IF the air tubes on the intake aren't plugged, which they probably are).

Jamey is right, the tubes are probably plugged anyway! Our state requires all emissions equipment be in place. If you have no such restrictions where you live, you can leave it off. Just cap off at the diverter valve.
