RGP, The only market where Jaguar fitted pusher fans in front of the aircon radiator, AFAIK was Japan. This was definitely done on the X300 V12 model, but whether it was done on the Japan market XJS I do not know.
Is the installation definitely factory, do you think?
In principle, a pusher fan is a good idea for aircon performance in slow traffic, IMO. My problem when considering fitting one was it seemed impossible to find a fan with (i) enough airflow, (ii) a small enough hub not to restrict normal airflow, and (iii) one that be both and would fit in the space.

Looks like the aux fan from a Ser III XJ6.

the guy on eBay selling them is an xjs breaker in or near Dorking he has 4 of them listed, but doesn't answer emails, I have since found the fan on jcp web for the 3.6 xjs. why they switched on the 3.6, who knows. def. looks the same unit as the pic doug
