Hello All, I'm nearing my XJS's end of rebuild. It's been trickier than usual because previous 'professional' parties who took the car apart (for a full repaint) lost some parts. After 11 years of being let down by professionals, JLR themselves took pity on me (it's a long story) and painted the car 2- months ago. But the deal was that I had to find someone to refit her, I've been doing most of that work myself over the last 2-months.

But I'm stuck on 2 separate door parts shown in the photos - I'm missing the other side's parts but can't find them on the net. Looking at the first and second pictures, and ignoring the top black part, does anyone know where the chrome part goes please? Do you have a diagram showing were it goes and how it's fitted please? I can't find anything on the net. And do you know what that chrome part number is, so I can find one for the other side, and buy some new of the fluffy strips that attach to them, assuming it is a door fitting.

I worked out where the black part goes, slots into the top of the door card, as shown in the third picture. But does anyone know that part's number, so I can find one for the other side?

If you mean the outer scraper rubber seal.
I went to the ccs and a jaguar heretage guy told me to use XJ6 ones as they were to same moulding but a little longer BD464586 but jaguars are now oos.

 

There must be loads of doors for sale on ebay, breakers etc etc, which still will have everything on them.
