Wire distributor- amplifier hole sealing?
Hi all!
There is a wire going from within the distributor through a hole in the distributor, to the amplifier. The wire runs through a rubber/plastic ”shunk” that seems to be there to seal the hole. Does this hole have to be 100% sealed? The ”shunk” is not doing that at the moment. In fact it is not sticking to the hole all that well. Should I add some sealant or glue or?
Have a nice evening!

Best to keep the distributor as clean as possible just on general principles. Some ordinary RTV/silicone would be fine and, if carefully applied, wouldn't even look bad!

What Doug said.
When I rewired mine, including those wires to the amp, the "blob" became trash.
I used Grey (it matches the colour of the alloy) RTV, and applied a small amount, let if almost dry, applied some more, shaped it a little, and so on, until the hole was all sealed.
Worked for me at the time.
