A quick note to let everyone know that at least in 1993, the bottoms of the XJS Coupe front seats are in fact the same.

My son picked up a mint condition 61,000 mile car. Both seats looked "as new", however the bolster on the left hand side of the drivers seat bottom was getting soft. Looked perfect, but not as firm as new.

We pulled both seats, separated the backs from the bottoms, and interchanged the passenger side bottom with the driver. Drivers seat now firm as new, and the passenger side just fine as the softer bolster is now on the inside up against the console. Easy two hour job with the routing of the wiring for the seat back (lumbar and tilt) taking the most time to switch.

 

Cool! That's good info. I'm shopping for one of these later Jag's and I see the drooping bolsters often. I'd venture to guess the same procedure applies to 94 - 96 as well.
