Does anyone know where I can track some rear discs and pads to fit my 85 coupe (5.3 HE). I have ordered some from the standard places but my car is one of the few to have a Dana diff. The mount holes are fine but the calliper holes are offset? Help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Ebay has loads, I recently bought a set from EuroParts, Pagid the make, very good. FWIW, even if you do specify the disc for the Dana diff, I have never got one where the access hole is either large enough, or placed centrally above the caliper fixing bolt, so as to get a socket through the disc to access the caliper bolt.


You can just get an open ender on the bolts using the space for the lower one between the lower wishbone inner fulcrum arms, and a ratchet spanner really does help, but it is only possible to turn the bolt a flat or two at a time, and it is a total pain to do, but it is doable. The only alternative that I know of is to get the disc hole machined out, for size and centrality.

I suspect that is the set I have already. I made the mistake of comparing the old disc to new and noticing what I suspected was a misalignment without actually offering it up to see if I could work around it!
