Xjs door hinge replacement
Need to source a manufactured Left side upper door hinge for 1994 XJS convertible. Is this a DYI job? Does the front fender have to be removed? I could not find a video on line.
Not sure where you'll source a hinge but, as you'll see from the Jaguar Parts website, note that there is apparently a changepoint at VIN 194774 which is April 1994, so just be aware.
Good luck

I am assuming no significant change between my ‘88 and your ‘94….I removed both doors for refinishing.
The door side fasteners are 3 studs with nuts on each hinge accessed by removing the door trim panel, mark the nut locations on the inside to aid with initial alignment, also any shims. The body side lower is accessed by removing the cowl side trim, as are the electrical disconnects. The upper requires removal of the dash lower scuttle to access bolts.
I believe the easiest would be remove the door assembly by removing the door side nuts and unplugging the wiring. Then plenty of room to remove the hinge. No need to remove the fender.

I can tell you for sure 1985 thru 1994 hinges did not change one bit.
Does NOT require removing the front fender.
Unless you broke the spring wire, why are you looking for one?
It's an extreme PITA to replace a hinge, and requires removing the door cards, and the interior kick panel.
None of the A post door fasteners are visible, so undoing them is a full day job.

I've done this swap albeit on the right hand door for RHD. No need to remove fender & not particularly difficult. You just have to take the trim out on the inside to access.

It's been a very long time since I did my door on my 94, but...
The things I recall are the nut inside the A post were particularly hard to find and undo.
Another thing that was nasty was re-inserting the rubber harness boot.
You should also have a door holder dolly, the door is extremely heavy.
