hi can anyone tell me where the towing eye is on a 1989 xjs i need to recover it but cant find where i tow it from also it has a lynx body kit hope someone can help

 

There should be 2 at the front. They are under the car, behind the lower lip spoiler, on either side of the front cross member mounting points. Here's a pic of them.

 

The stock ones are as JagZilla says but not sure what you have up front with that body kit.
I know the stock units would be useless on my xjrs without causing front bumper/air dam damage and no alternative is available so hope l never need a tow from the front.

 

I believe that they are not towing eyes but shipping tie down eyes. Only the later facelift ('94ish ??) had what people now call towing eyes.

Correct, but you probably can tow with them if you are careful !
