I hadn't seen a close-up of the mirrors wrapped like that before - looks good.

DGL inspired me to order a custom R footrest that matches the stock pedals on my 2009 XKR Portfolio Convertible:

How did you fasten down the footrest. Did you have to drill holes and penetrate the floorboard in doing so?

Love the look. Jaguar should make the footrest a standard item.

Looking for a non-R dead pedal like that, where can I find one?

See this thread for details and evolution of the two "R" designs, as well as the link to Robert's website for his stock designs with dots, like DGL's. He can manufacture anything you want. My slotted design was one-off. Click here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-order-88734/ There is also a link in that thread to another forum soliciting orders for a group buy with 15% off if there are enough orders.

The footrest is attached to the floor with 2 small self-tapping screws, which are included with the footrest. I agree with Richzak, this should have been a standard item from Jaguar.

I thought DGL's alternate design was worth repeating, so here it is:

Hey Hawaii,

Aloha. Maui is my favourite Island. Just wish it were closer--hate that long flight.

Yes, I did them myself. Watch some videos on youtube.com to see how to stretch and apply the material with a heat gun. Buy enough material to do 4-6 applications--it's not that expensive. The first one will be a learning experience. It is easy to apply. start with the outside area first and move toward the window. When the material needs to overlapped cut it to wrap over on the widow side.

I would not do it again. I would rather buy the covers from mina gallery because they look like real carbon fiber and my next Jag will be an XKR-S with a carbon fiber splitter.

I've been told they have them but don't have them listed on their website. Shoot them an email.
