Default 2007 XKR Help Identifying Part

Just had inspection & my radar stopped working. Thought there was a turn off switch under dash. Can any member please let me know if the circular plate with hole in middle is standard on 2007 XKR (see attached photo)

View Under dash between Steering Wheel & Driver side door
. If not mat be the switch that broke off during inspection.

That's the trim securing pin, it holds that plastic cover in place.
I don't know what you mean, "Radar stopped working".... what radar? I've never heard of a radar switch.

Think he’s talking about the Adaptive Cruise Control radar. And yeh, that’s holding the under panel trim in place (although it’s usually rectangular clips, and looks like someone replaced the clip with one of those Christmas tree type fasteners).

That's the only radar I'd think it could be, but his is an '07 so that'd be unlikely but not impossible. There isn't a switch for that regardless.
I checked both of the XKRs I have, both have that same round panel clip.

IIRC, there is a switch in that cluster of switches ahead of your knee, that controls some of the ACC.

Edit:

I forgot all about that as I turned it off permanently before a week of driving had passed. Super annoying and not helpful the least bit.

We need more info about what this thread even pertains to. It's pretty vague.

@Dand1 If you mean your active cruise control radar stopped working, check the brake switch first. It is the simplest thing to check. There are other posts on this or jaguarform.com on how to repair the radar module itself. Hopefully you don't have to go that far.

+1

The same type of fastener is used to secure the side trims in the luggage compartment. They aren't rigid plastic which allows the trim to be released without removing the fixing. It can be pushed through the rectangular slot in the trim.

Sorry about not replying to every one. I installed a K40 radar detector in 2007 that just stopped working. I thought there was a cut off switch under dash on drivers side that I am trying to find. It might have been broken off coming out of circular plate in photo I took.So I wanted to know if that plate is stock on all 2007 Jaguars.
