Default 2007 XKR Suspension Mods

Hi All,
I have a 2007 XKR and at present I am finding the ride a little soft, I have been advised I should change the springs. Can anyone please recommend a suitable independent garage in the Surrey/West Sussex areas?
Many thanks,
James.

Most of the folks on here are in the US; you may have better luck on the UK part of this site, or at JaguarForum.co.uk.

Thanks, I have tried that but there is virtually no response.

The nearest I can recommend is my indie specialist, Les Pauls Motors in South Woodford. But that's still a fair haul from you. Also, Paramount Performance in Windsor.

Thanks Ngarara, have you used both garages? I contacted a garage in West Sussex who also sell Jags and it seemed to be a bit of a song and dance to get a price out of them and they didn't bother coming back to me.

JW, would that garage be a 4 letter word beginning with A and ending in N. If so, don't bother.

It might be a bit a far, but there is a guy in Portsmouth who I would highly recommend. He has worked on all my Jags with never a bother about anything.

I have no affiliation to him but his name is Jon Greive and he runs Jagcare.

Hope this helps,

I've used Les Pauls for all my Jags for over 10 years - they're a good bunch. However, I'm not into major modding, so I've never asked them to obtain anything like uprated springs. They seem to have pretty good sources, though, so I'd expect they could do the work.

I've spoken to Paramount, looking for someone who could load the R-S active suspension and ABS/traction settings onto my 75, which has the same hardware. They were unable to help, but they were prompt in responding.

Thanks Ngarara, good to know, I will try Paramount next.

Yes Jimbov8, you are quite right and I won't be bothering them again.

Spires are in Leicester, which is a ways from the south coast.

However, in googling them, I discovered that Les Pauls can supply & fit Spires kit:

Spires Tuning - Les Pauls Motors Jaguar Specialists - Woodford Green

The blurb is about the XF, but they should be able to fit upgrades to any Jag. Give Les or Kevin a call - they're good guys.
