I've owned my '08 Portfolio coupe (American walnut/charcoal) since 2010. Still can't resist looking back when walking away in a parking lot. Beautiful cars.

Default French Racing Blue 08 Portfolio

Hi I'm in San Diego and picked up my 08 Portfolio a week ago. Still getting used to her but love her so far. Mine is no longer the factory celestial black tho. A previous owner had her repainted in French racing blue and all the accents powder coated in black! I love the color combo!

From Sandwich NH. 2008 portfolio celestial black. 32k now. Got it with 19k a year ago March. I only drive it in summer but can't seem to stop doing so. Only repair was the condensate drain for $700 at dealer. Tried everything else, nothing worked.

What do you think a 2008 Convertible Portfolio Edition (18,000 miles) in babied condition is worth (roughly) today? trade-in vs. open market?

skavan,

A dealer in Florida is asking $37,944 for one with 22,752 miles. 2008 Jaguar XKR Portfolio, $37,944 - Cars.com Obviously, trade-in value is much less.

Values can vary widely, depending on where the vehicle is located and other factors. You didn't post your city and state, or indicate if you're the first owner and what options, if any, are on that XKR Portfolio and maintenance and repair info, or how much reconditioning may be needed even though it's in "babied" condition. Does that mean everyone drools over it? A convertible is worth more in Florida or California than in North Dakota or Minnesota.

Your best bet to get some ballpark ideas about values is to use the online valuation tools at Kelley Blue Book Kelley Blue Book - New and Used Car Price Values, Expert Car Reviews ; Edmunds Appraise a Used Car at Edmunds.com ; AutoTrader Value a Car for Sale - Find My Car Value, Car Worth and Car Pricing - AutoTrader.com ; and NADA New Car Prices and Used Car Book Values - NADAguides

For a realistic wholesale price (sell to a dealer without a trade-in), take your car to CarMax if there's a store near you. Trade-in value is kinda iffy, because it can be inflated by the dealer discounting the new car and applying that discount towards the value of your used car.

Thanks. I'm in Greenwich CT, and am looking to get a 2014 XKR-S Convertible.
The Kelley Blue Book Price for "Very Good" vs. "Excellent" is $31k.
If any of the peeps is interested private email me. I've had it 7 years and believe there was just one owner before me.

I own a 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition Convertible, 17,300 miles, mint condition...$5000 Alcon brake system option with 350mm & 400mm rotors. Only change was a new set of wheels, 20" Braelin BR02. New Hankook Ventus Evo V12 tires. I have the OEM Jaguar Selena wheels to go with the car. $44,000 will take it. Sell to 1st buyer. Price is firm.

Jaguar XKR runs flawlessly. This is a limited edition of only 200 made in 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition Convertibles imported into the USA. This Jaguar is very rare. This may be the most pristine 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition Convertible located in the USA.

Rich - Why would you part with it? Something newer coming?

P.S. You're in the 2008 thread, and the Mods will probably boot your post over to the classifieds section.

Nothing new coming.....not officially for sale up would be open to sell at this price. I have 5 vehicles currently.

There was a post from another 2009 owner so, just thought I would add this since there was discussion on the 2008 for sale.

I think it is worth more. I paid $45 K in September and had three buyers behind me. 25,000 miles. I have a 2015 C63s AMG and the JAG is right there for fun to drive, looks etc.

I just initiated a purchase today that I'm afraid will cost me a night's sleep.

In about 10 days, or so, I'll take delivery of my "New to Me" 2008 XKR Portfolio. It's Celestial Black with Charcoal Black interior and sports the machined aluminium dash.

Can't wait until it arrives!

Welcome! I think you will loose more than one night's sleep, but it will be worth it.

Congratulations. No need to worry. I've had some really nice cars, including a few Jags , and this car is my favorite ever. It is much nicer to drive than my CL550 Your new Jag sounds like it is identical to mine. I have spoken to sever al owners of XKR's with over 50,000 miles on them that have been virtually trouble free. You can expect to get a lot of compliments on it.
